OUR POLICIES
Agreement – We require every commercial inspection client to agree to and sign the inspection agreement. This will include the scope of work, outline payment policy and guarantee of payment, limitations, and liabilities.
Budget Variance – We cannot guarantee the exact duration of the project, so we inform the customer upfront about a reasonable time variance that may occur, either extending or shortening the expected timeline. Additionally, we include a budget variance to help manage client expectations, mitigate risks, and ensure smooth project execution. A retainer is collected upfront, and we reserve the right to bill for any additional hours needed to complete the project. However, if the project is finished sooner than anticipated, we will refund the difference to the customer.
Payment – The final inspection fee will depend on the scope and timeline of the inspection, services requested, size of the property, and the distance from our office. 100% of the inspection fee is due prior to the inspection and releasing any reports.
Qualifications – When choosing a commercial inspector, choose a team that is educated and experienced. Volunteer Commercial is certified through an accredited commercial education and training program- the Certified Commercial Property Inspectors Association (CCPIA). We utilize the American Standard Testing Materials (ASTM) Property condition assessment standard E2018-15 and the International Standards of Practice for Inspecting Commercial Properties (ComSOP) to conduct assessments and inspections for all properties inspected.
